Four people are arrested by a massive bronze statue erected in a park. An elderly man sitting on a bench tends a rose to a woman standing beside him. On his lap rests an open book. The sculpture plot or indifferent. It is part of the cityscape near Laura, a divorced woman in her forties. She lives with her daughter, Amanda, thread between Laura and her ex-husband, Eric, remover works of art. Laura runs a small business of breaking dishes that allows customers to unwind at low cost. For men and women try to resolve their problems, dreams of seducing Laura David, employed in a hardware store. She succeeds, but the inconvenience it will reveal the true nature of the young man. Laura let her perilous journey to identify Malorie, teenager, who lives with his parents and brother. His mother, having put in his head to see her daughter become a famous pianist, forced him to take courses which interest absolutely no Malorie; it occupies her time between her friends, her lovers, her studies. She spotted the bronze statue and, believing himself misunderstood, she slips out of tickets in the old man's outstretched hand. Until a blue ticket meets their white slips. The risk is great, but Malorie can not help going to rendezvous with a stranger ... Shortly after the danger to Malorie, we meet Eric, the ex-husband of Laura. He loves his daughter Amanda, his new flame, rich and divorced, Helena. Versatile and multifaceted, they disperse, complies with the demands of people that frequent family as foreign, as if his life depended on it. Opportunist, he feeds his insatiable curiosity about the complexity of human beings. However, deep down, sleeps a disturbing dilemma: Who Is the son, his mother why she abandoned him at birth? He too was struck by the bronze statue to whom he feels "rather benign indifference. One day, he is responsible for the move on the forecourt of a building. Viewed from another angle, the statue is a troubling question to Eric about man and woman within it. Eric let his introspection, enter the apartment and Nadège Rosary sexagenarian mismatched couple. He is plebeian, alcoholic and tyrannical. Obsessed with sex. She, intelligent, cultivated, on the lookout for new cultures. Dependent on a demanding husband, she dreams that he dies, her guilt despite the abhorrent thought. Nadège out with his girlfriend widow, Colette, with whom she can discuss everything. Often they go together to the movies, attending museums. Fading memory of Colette reserve an amazing surprise to Nadège; her friend being allowed to carry a man, Fulgence, who will fill his absence, calling itself "blower words, indulgent to oblivion. "Gradually, Nadège realizes that Fulgence is far from displeasing him and devises a secret rendezvous. He will discuss the bronze statue of the sculptor whose name amazes Nadège. Fulgence conduct a thorough investigation whose outcome pinking a wonderful horizon Nadège.
well-crafted novel, ably led by Rachel Laverdure. We suspect that the protagonists are not strangers to each other, fairly common romantic process. If we consider that history is divided into four parts, the Nadège and Rosary is the most touching, most original. The role of the girl Malorie seems agreed, even if the girl makes several useful elements to the plot. All four are walking in their personal quarters, stumbling on misunderstandings legitimate whenever the statue, triggering specific reactions in them: the unfulfilled sexual desires of Laura, the speculation of Eric tormented, repressed regret Nadège. Beneath a thin, often delightful, the novel is part of a gravity that enhances the reflective thought of the author. It never fails to drag fierce humor where the reader captures a meaningful idleness. Entertaining reading, provided some smiles, writing a vocabulary enriched abundant and defined.
Read to enter quietly into the New Year holiday, the compassionate heart of the torment of beings of flesh, statues magnet surrounded in mystery, apparently insensitive to human grunting ... But who knows?
